چکیده

Automatic detection of buildings and changes in buildings from airborne laser scanner and image data is discussed. A new, improved method for change detection between an existing building map and building detection results has been developed. Corresponding building objects between the two datasets are found by analysing the overlaps of the buildings. Depending on the correspondences, change detection is carried out, and new, demolished and changed buildings are found. Detection of changed buildings is based on analysing overlap percentages or investigating the building detection results inside and outside buildings on the map by using buffers. Additional rules were developed to investigate tree cover or a digital surface model (DSM) in cases where misclassifications in the building detection stage are likely. The change detection method was evaluated by using suburban test areas covering 4.5 km. Reference results were created by applying the same method to two real building maps. Accuracy estimates for different change classes and building sizes are presented. For all buildings, the completeness and correctness were about 70%. Further tests on building detection with a classification tree based approach are also presented. The method was applied to a new dataset containing laser scanner data and an ortho image created from digital aerial images. Generally, the results are in agreement with our earlier tests and show a mean accuracy of 89% for buildings when compared with a building map, pixel by pixel. Contrary to our earlier study, however, the use of the aerial imagery clearly improved the results. * Corresponding author

Reducing Light Change Effects in Automatic Road Detection

Automatic road extraction from aerial images can be very helpful in traffic control and vehicle guidance systems. Most of the road detection approaches are based on image segmentation algorithms. Color-based segmentation is very sensitive to light changes and consequently the change of weather condition affects the recognition rate of road detection systems. In order to reduce the light change ...

تولید خودکار الگوهای نفوذ جدید با استفاده از طبقه‌بندهای تک کلاسی و روش‌های یادگیری استقرایی

In this paper, we propose an approach for automatic generation of novel intrusion signatures. This approach can be used in the signature-based Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDSs) and for the automation of the process of intrusion detection in these systems. In the proposed approach, first, by using several one-class classifiers, the profile of the normal network traffic is established. ...

A New Approach towards Precise Planar Feature Characterization Using Image Analysis of FMI Image: Case Study of Gachsaran Oil Field Well No. 245, South West of Iran

Formation micro imager (FMI) can directly reflect changes of wall stratums and rock structures. Conventionally, FMI images mainly are analyzed with manual processing, which is extremely inefficient and incurs a heavy workload for experts. Iranian reservoirs are mainly carbonate reservoirs, in which the fractures have an important effect on permeability and petroleum production. In this paper, a...

Improved Automatic Clustering Using a Multi-Objective Evolutionary Algorithm With New Validity measure and application to Credit Scoring

In data mining, clustering is one of the important issues for separation and classification with groups like unsupervised data. In this paper, an attempt has been made to improve and optimize the application of clustering heuristic methods such as Genetic, PSO algorithm, Artificial bee colony algorithm, Harmony Search algorithm and Differential Evolution on the unlabeled data of an Iranian bank...
